II. Non-Licensed Positions

(a) Office Staff  - (Bilingual Spanish and English)

Data Entry & Beyond: 3 yr experience preferred.

Experienced staff salary based on ability and experience.
Non-experienced staff begins at  minimum wage

Considering temporary (3-6 month) position for typist and data entry
secretary. Typing test and use on word, excel and powerpoint must be
demonstrated during interview. Position will assist reception to cover
breaks.  Fluent Spanish-English required.

Staff will work in all areas of the office and will assist administrator as
needed.  Specific positions based, again, on ability and experience in
medical records, billing, reception/answering phones and working
with grants.

Two week trial/training period required to assess capabilities.  
Probationary period 90 days. Hours Mon-Fri and Saturdays as
scheduled.  Flex Position(s) Open to qualified applicant.

* must be reliable.
* must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds without
an injury to self.
* must be very organized
* must enjoy working with all age populations
* speak clearly, prefer bilingual (English/Spanish)
* must be familiar with basic computer use and software
* must speak in a comfortable level where hearing impaired listeners
will understand
* typing speed of 50 wpm minimum
*bilingual (fluent English and Spanish) preferred
*typing skills, use of computer and software programs
will be tested for potential candidates (second interview)
*will assist clinical staff as needed, therefore will need to meet
the physical requirements of a SALT staff member
*areas of interest for open positions: data entry, billing claims, basic
accounting,  transcription, assisting with medical records

(b) Non Licensed Aids or "SALT" Assistants
for Speech or Occupational Therapy

Staff positions working with special needs children
ages 2-15 years.

Bilingual (English/Spanish and/or English/Sign Language) a plus.

Training Period of two weeks. Disclaimer - this is NOT an
observation -- observers will NOT be paid. Temporary position of 3-6
months dependent upon caseload.  May be considered for
permanent position if openings are available at that time.

Hours:  5-9 hours/day during the training period.

Seeking an individual desiring either a part time position in the
afternoons (12:30-5 pm) or a full time position (8:30-5:30pm) with
two Saturdays (minimum) per month.   

Candidate must be able to:
*crawl through tunnels with students,
*climb a seven foot "climbing wall" to retrieve picture cards,
*answer phones,
*use a computer to transcribe or set up chart
*write/print legibly,
*participate in outside activities including but not limited to skipping,
running and dancing :)  and,
*lift 80 pounds without injury to self or others.
*type 45 wpm minimum - Unless applying for "aid" minimum wage

(c) Office Assistant: IT assistance and
Records Management with Data Entry for Ac
counting/Bilingual preferred

Candidate must be:
*professional- converses well with staff and clients
*competent with electronics such as computers, servers, iPads
*computer proficient (knows how to work with the basic
Microsoft  software including, but not limited to MS Word, Excel,
Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
*answer phones professionally,
*write legibly with grammar and syntax consistent with a college    
*write/print/type legibly  
*multi-task efficiently
*organized and able to organize schedules of clinicians and
*prepare monthly newsletter
*assist other departments as needed
*available for work on Saturdays
*must speak in a comfortably loud voice to be heard by the hard
of hearing
*meet all of the requirements for non-professional staff

*bilingual candidates (English-Spanish) preferred
*flexibility required

This is a NON smoking facility.  We work with special needs children
and Adults in need of speech/occupational/hearing therapy
services. Phones are turned off in the clinic area (staff, clients,
visitors).  Staff and clients wear only socks in the therapy area.
